What Are Resealable Plastic Bags?
Resealable plastic bags are a type of packaging that allows the user to reseal or reclose the packaging. This functionality often helps maintain product freshness as well as preventing spillages. You can seal them by pressing the two sides of the bag together. These plastic bags come in various standard dimensions to accommodate a variety of items.
How Do You Use A Resealable Plastic Bag?
Resealable plastic bags are quite straightforward to use. Here are the general steps:
- Open the Bag: The bag will typically have a sealing strip at its top. Gently pull it apart to open the bag.
- Put Items Inside the Bag: Place the items you want to store inside the bag. Make sure not to overfill the bag as it could potentially limit the effectiveness of the seal.
- Remove Excess Air: Before sealing the bag, try to press out as much air as you can. This will help to better preserve the contents and limit the amount of space the bag takes up.
- Seal the Bag: To seal the bag, press the sealing strip together from one end to the other. Make sure you get a good seal throughout the entire strip therefore preventing any air from entering or escaping.
- Verify the Seal: Check the seal by gently trying to pull it open. If you can’t easily pull it apart, then it is sealed properly.
Remember, resealable plastic bags can be opened and closed multiple times, but they do have a limit to their overall lifespan. Over time, the seal can wear out and not close as effectively.
