What is a Price Gun?

A price gun allows retailers to price up items in their shops or retail spaces. They make pricing easier and more accurate, reducing human error and saving time. Displaying clear prices also makes shopping easier for customers and has a major impact on increasing sales.

How to use a Pricing Gun:

To use a pricing gun, load labels, set the price, and press the trigger to apply the label on the item. Keep your pricing guns clean and perform regular checks to maintain their efficiency. Remember, high-quality, well-maintained price guns produce clearer, easier-to-read price labels.

Loading the Labels:
  1. Open the label cover.
  2. Release the base plate by pushing the buttons on each side.
  3. Put the new labels on the holder, ensuring the strip inside of the gun. Then, feed the labels through to the other side.
  4. Close the label cover and base plate.
  5. Insert the labels into the slot under the gun.
  6. Operate the handle to draw the labels into the gun.
Replacing the Ink Roller:
  1. Open the front cover.
  2. Slide the ink roller and casing off the holders and replace them.
  3. Close the front cover.

FAQs

How Do These Guns Work?

Price guns operate by loading a roll of label tape and an ink ribbon. The user sets the desired characters (numbers or symbols) through dials. The device prints and cuts a label with each trigger squeeze, making it ready for you to apply.

Can You Change The Ink?

Yes, you can replace the ink roller or cartridge once it has run dry. This process involves opening the device, removing the depleted ink cartridge, and installing a new one.

How Do You Load Labels Into The Gun?

To insert labels, first open the label compartment. Follow the device’s instructions for placing the roll correctly. Ensure the labels are going through the correct path. Finally, close the compartment while making sure you correctly position the first label.

What Types Of Labels Can You Use?

Price guns can use a variety of labels, including plain or pre-printed stickers for prices, dates, or codes. The label type must match the price gun’s specifications, especially regarding size and shape.

Are There Different Types Of Price Guns?

Yes, there are single-line and double-line price guns, referring to the number of lines of text they can print. Single-line guns are for pricing or coding, while double-line guns can show more info, like dates or inventory codes.

How Do You Fix A Jammed-Price Gun?

To fix a jammed price gun, open the label compartment and carefully remove any stuck labels or debris. Check the ink roller and path for labels to ensure there are no obstructions, then reload the labels and try printing again.

Can Price Guns Print Dates And Codes As Well As Prices?

Yes, most price guns can print numbers and symbols, allowing for printing dates, codes, and prices.

How Do You Maintain A Price Gun?

To maintain your device, clean the print head regularly. Replace the ink roller when needed. Make sure to load labels correctly to avoid jams. Store the device in a clean, dry place when not in use.
