What are Slatwall Inserts?

If you are installing Slatwall Panels into your retail space, then Slatwall inserts are something that you should consider. Inserts are designed to be slotted into the panels, whether new or already installed. Not only do they offer the finishing touch, but they also add further strength and stability to the board.

Slatwall inserts come in a choice of two materials. That is PVC plastic, which is available in multiple colours or aluminium. Your insert colour selection should depend on the colour of your chosen Slatwall or on the type of merchandise you supply. Alternatively, why not go for a colour that matches your company’s branding? The Display Centre’s most popular insert colours are white, silver, aluminium and grey, but others are available.

The inserts are supplied in lengths of 1200mm. A 1200 x 1200mm Slatwall panel would require 12 inserts to fill. Subsequently, A 2400mm high board would require 23.

How to install Slatwall Inserts?

Slatwall inserts are a relatively simple product to install. PVC plastic inserts can either be pushed in from the front or slid in from the side. It is easier to slide the inserts in from the side, but if your Slat panels are already on the wall, then you need to clip them in from the front. We recommend starting at one end by pushing the insert slowly into the board. Do not try to clip from the middle. If you choose aluminium inserts, they can only be inserted from the side, whether the boards are already on the wall or not.

It is also worth noting in which direction the insert is slotted into the board. Remember that you will need to allow for the hooks, shelves, and brackets to be inserted the correct way up.

What pack sizes do the Slat Inserts come in?

Unlike others, we do not supply our inserts in specific pack sizes. Our inserts are available individually, which caters for both new installations and customers looking to upgrade or replace what they already have.
