The Results
Next time you’re in Paddington, you can grab dinner at Vapiano and look up at our handiwork. The ventilation keeps the kitchen fumes under control and the dining area fresh, but it does it with style. The custom-painted ductwork has become part of the restaurant’s identity – industrial chic that actually serves a purpose.
This project reminded us that mechanical services don’t always have to hide in the shadows. Sometimes, with the right client and the right approach, the practical can become beautiful. Even if it means going back to swap out parts that were perfectly functional but not quite perfect looking.
After all those night shifts, seeing the finished system running above happy diners makes it worthwhile. That’s installation as art – and we’re proud to have our name on it.
